People have lived here since the stone age. Archaeologists have found structural ruins that date back to the 8th Century. The Minster is over 1200 years old. 

Hamelin became famous with the fateful visit of the Pied Piper luring the children away in 1284. The legend lures people to the town today and may be the worlds most famous saga.

Those who come to Hamelin have a great selection of architecture to admire.
